Couldnt answer this question

I had a buddy of mine ask me a question the other day and it got me thinking myself. He has 2 2 ohm dual voice coil 12's he wants to run 1 ohm to a 2400 watt X1 at 1 ohm amp. If he runs them parallel as you would run only one sub parallel to create a 1 ohm load and then just connected the two postive and negative wires together at the amp into the same bridged channel on the amp would each sub be getting 2400 watts at 1 OHM or half that? I'm a little confused on his theory but its what he wants to do and you cant tell him anything...lol The question just had me curios on how that would work.

Parallel Wiring for one sub:
If using Dual 2 ohm coils the total load would be 1.0 ohm.

so you take and run each sub indivually parallel and connect them at the amp on the bridged channel do you get 2400 watts at 1 ohm to each sub?

I hope this isnt hard to understand its the only way i knew how to word it. Thanks.

You're options are 0.5 ohm, 2 ohm, or something higher. What amp? depending on what it is it may be ok at 0.5.

I think this is a helpful site. Tells you how to wire subs in parallel or series and the resulting impedances. I think in your case it is .5ohms but check it out. Hope this helps

you cant wire 2 2ohm dvc subs into 1 ohm... also if its an amp that can be bridged then its not 1ohm stable. Hit me up with ur equiptment and i can give u a better idea how u can run it. Might have to do half power because .5 ohms is not an option (very few amps can handle that and i know 99.9999% you dont have one)
