Ok. so my brother has a like 04 shitfire and when he put his new deck in he found out there was a chip in it that controled his gas and rpm gaduges and all that good stuff. ( he ran into alot of problems) now i know that our cars are the newer version so i was wondering if im going to have these problems when i put my new head unit in.

 

Nope you will not have any problems I have never heard of this even with sunfires but anything is possible I guess.

 

x2... if he got the wrong harness and wired it incorrectly it will mess with his guages and such but you can do that on cobalts as well.
