So, I read a few articles on the forum about this, but couldn't really find a solid answer to the problem. The button on my wheel lights up when pressed, but when I try and set the cruise, nothing happens. Sometimes "Cruise Engaged" flashes on my dash LCD but the cruise doesn't set. 2006 SS/SC. Have we figured out the cause of this yet?

 

Rumor is your third brake light being out can cause this.

 

Mine just doesn't work sometimes. I pull over, shut the car off open the door and start it again and it's fine.

 

Fact not rumor.

 

Just happened to me last summer. It only takes one bulb being out to mess you up.

 

I said rumor cuz it hasn't happened to me.

This is interesting because I currently have two bulbs out but cruise works fine. It may depend on the model. I really need to get them fixed before I get pulled over.
