In Dash DVD/NAV Installation Question

For all of you guys who installed your own in dash tv...there's wires to hook up to the parking brake, the speed sensor, and reverse.....do you HAVE to hook them up? Isn't hooking the parking brake up going to prevent you from watching movies while driving (obviously I wouldn't drive while watching, but the passengers would maybe want to watch)

google it on the web see if you can get a bypass.. i used a pax7 module to bypass it.. check ebay out also.. i dont know how a speed sensor works.. but i know with my alpine unit i have to engage the foot break and then the parking break.. so the bypass would have to do the same thing it put power to the foot break wire and then 2 seconds after that it puts power to the parking break...try grounding the wires and see what that dose for you sometimes thats all it takes

Sweet...well i Installed it already so who knows...i'll do it later....i'm gonna go take pics real quickly now and post them up i'm so happy it looks sick!

Only thing I had to do was to cut the back plastic panel piece out and bend the metal braket in because it wouldn't go all the way in

Yeah. I believe there is more information in the FAQ at the top of this section on the steering wheel controls. I still have yet to hook mine back up but it can be done
