so i have decided that i want to get rid of my factory head unit for a in dash dvd player that i can actually hook up my subs and i pod to in my 06ss.. my question is what all do i need to make everything work right
i know i need the obvious like the

head unit i like/ mounting kit
harness for the steering wheel control,s but is there anything i am missing wiring wise

 

harness to keep ur onstar features...if wanted...

I just installed my pioneer z3 from my 06 ss into the new 09 ss. I forgot how much I love this thing. I just need to figure out how to install the pac swi ps for my steering wheel controls.

 

I too was lookin into gettin an in-dash dvd player. My concern was XM radio. Do they make it so u just wire it into the head unit or do u have to buy the lil satelite radio reciever dash thing? (Haha sorry guys, I don't know what its called)
