deck not working?
hey guys i just got done wiring my kenwood ddx512 touchscreen monitor in. i have the axxess harness for it. For some reason my navigation is just saying no navagation with a blue screen behind it? The harness said it was for navagation. there was a wire that said went to vss but i couldnt figure out where that went to is this my problem?

The DNX 7100 is 6.95 inches and motorized and includes the navi the DDX512 is 6.1 inches... with the cd drive above the screen and no navi. Both support similar features IPOD, BACKUP, USB, BLUETOOTH, SATELLITE. Plus the DDX512 has optional NAVI through an expansion unit that be found for around 400-500 online. It isnt a bad deal at all to be honest...nice screen no motor= less problems and its expandable. I am debating on if i should get the ddx512 or the dnx7100 (or the new one dnx7120 which is basically the same)

That's because you need a special ipod adaptor. It can be found on eBay. I just ordered one my self. Search google for ddx512 ipod adaptor for the part number then search eBay I forgot what it is or I'd tell ya.

just no dvd i wonder if they make a dvd player that will hook into the usb. just like a little portable dvd player

wait. Im fixing to get a similiar unit and I have a question. I'm gonna get the dnx5120 .
Do I need more than the "auxillary audio cable" to play my ipod through the unit? I thought you just buy the 15 dollar auxillary cable and it was plug and play.
