DNX 7200 goes into protect mode

Hi, I have a Kenwood DNX 7200 head unit. For the last couple of months its been in protect mode. I looked at the manual and it says that the reason it does this is due to exposed wire. Now I pulled the unit out and checked the back for any problems. I found a couple of uncovered wires and covered them up. This did not solve the problem, so I installed the stock h/u and it still doesn't work and I can hear disturbance in the speakers. I also noticed if I mess with the obdII connection that I hear disturbance in the speakers as well. All my speakers are stock, and the headunit is the only aftermarket part in my audio. Anybody have this problem? Maybe its a common problem, a wire in a certain area gets pinched. Oh I also have the pioneer 10in sub as well.

it might be the factory amp. i know on the kenwoods a blown speaker will cause it to go in protect, but with the factory all of them should play but the bad one but im not 100% sure on that. do you have an ohm meter?

Ok well I think the radio is picking up interference from the obd2. I moved some of the wiring next to the obd2 connector and it works now. I don't have an ohm meter.
