Door chime but no music

I use a Bluetooth fm transmitter to play music through my car and for as long as I can remember no music came out of my front speakers and I thought they were blown. I did some searching on these forums and found that the door chimes still go through the front speakers and I was still getting those. I’m not the first owner of the car and I believe the doors were replaced with base model doors as they don’t have the tweeters and the rubber door strips on the outside were still on them when I bought the car. Any idea as to how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated

The fastest way to know if they're blown, is to change the fade/balance of the speakers via the radio settings. If you hear music in the rear, then set it to front and don't hear anything, they can still be blown despite the chimes. You can pick up a pair of coaxial speakers for cheap (if you don't really care about audio quality), and simply switch them out (super easy).

I have a set of pioneer speakers off of another cobalt as that I’ll try that with, didn’t know they could still chime with the speakers blown
