Hi all

I have an old Pioneer deck installed that had an XM receiver that I installed myself back in 2009.
Last night when putting some groceries in the trunk, I short circuited the XM receiver and it was serious enough that it left scorch marks on several of the cans I bought at the store. No harm to the radio, just the XM receiver and a few melted plastic bags from the store. The XM receiver is so old now, no one sells it new. Old ones on eBay run about $100.

I now have the original XM factory radio installed back in, took 10 minutes to install (never throw away old radios). Got my steering wheel controls back so that's a plus!

I am looking for another replacement. The old DVD touch screen Pioneer deck had the iPod connector and I want another unit that has that too and maybe even an iPhone connector. I know about that car play deck but I don't want to spend $700. I want something from the $299-$499 range. I would like it to be XM ready also.

I like the app radio 3 by pioneer. Thats the one im planning to get. The only down side is that it can not use cds. Neither can you use spotify on it. But if you have a rooted android anything is possible. Im not sure if it comes with xm.

Another good one is the pioneer double din, i believe its the 4400. Not sure. My brother has it in his silverado and its amazing. It has the xm option but idk if you need the reciever.

I have an xm reciever i got with my sony double din a few years back not sure if you wuld be interested. I have no use for it as i never had xm but that free 3 month trail when i got the car haha. Pm me if interested in getting it

 

I got a pioneer 7100nex. Amazing unit. Wish I'd gotten the 8100 with iPhone style touch. Expensive though. If u want xm now u can get a xm receiver for ur deck for like 35 bucks on Amazon. They are pretty cheap, if ur talking the add on for the head unit
