Factory USB head Unit

Anyone know if there is a USB input on the back of it? I would like to know if I can run an Ipod cable from the back to my glove box then.

Any help is appreciated!

The 09s came with decks that have a USB port on the front, but those are next to impossible to swap into an 05 unfortunately.

I have a deck without USB. I really wish it did. I priced out the GM decks with USB and they're not that expensive, but I really don't want my Flash Drive sticking out in the front of the radio. Then I looked into replacing the H/U with an aftermarket one. With all the adapters necessary to maintain Onstar and steering wheels controls, and then STILL having to splice into the factory wiring to bypass the Pioneer amp and keep the Onstar and Bluetooth working when using an upgraded amp, it makes more sense to me to go with this option, and might for you too.

Axxess XIA-D01 Ipod Interface with XIAH-GM4 Wiring Harness
then add Axxess XIA-USB to add the USB input to the above hub.

I still have to bypass the amp, but at least all of the OEM features will still work completely and correctly.

Another option would be to order up the PAL interface cable and installation kit. Doesn't work with USB devices, but you could just get a dedicated IPOD for your car or something.

Any thoughts?

There was a post in another section of the forum where someone plugged in the USB cable behind the facing of the head unit and ran the cable to the glove box. You might want to check into that thread.
