Fog Light HID issues

ok, I got the 35W kit with harness from DDM...before I go any further I am going to say I am simply asking for help here. I don't want any **** about buying from DDM and not buyHIDS ok...it was my choice, I've used them in the past and never had problems. Now for the issue.

All the wiring is run, everything in place and plugged in and when I turn the fog lights on, nothing happens. I have tried plugging things in differently, even taking the harness out of the equation on one side, but it doesn't change anything. Any ideas? Thanks

check your connections where the bulb plugs into the stock harness and where the two pin connector plugs into the ballast.
both of these can be plugged in backwards and forwards.
on the stock plug make sure purple goes to purple and black to black and on the ballast make sure its red to + and black to -.

The ballast for my headlight HIDS are under the mounting bracket and the fogs I mounted on the side of the crash bar right in the compartment behind the fog lights

Gotta be a short in the wiring somewhere. I would run over all the wiring you touched and see if the insulation is rubbed off somewhere, or if you somehow flipped a wire somewhere. Also make sure you have the plug in the ballast the correct direction, it is possible to put it in backward

You have a bad ballast. Contact DDM. I believe you have to pay shipping to use there standard warranty

Turns out it was the reverse pollarity issue...plugged a couple things in backwards and now everything is working properly. Thanks to everyone for their help.

good you got it fixed....cuz all the bad ballast stuff seemd like BS to me.....how would a bad ballast blow the fog light fuse in the car?

Also in the futurs if a fuse blows dont just put a bigger one in....the fuse protects the wires from heat and burning your car to the ground.

yeah...the bigger fuse was just cause I ran out of the 15 amps and just wanted to get one in there to make sure nothing had changed. I don't normally put ones in that are a higher rating than factory

A bad ballast can blow the fuse, Ive had many customers with DDM ballasts have this happen. Ive had a few of mine do the same thing. Nothings perfect Glad you got it working. Our fogs are GREAT with HIDs.

if youre using a relay harness its not possible for the ballasts to blow the fog light fuse in the car.....thats the point of a relay harness. (unless you do seomething stupid like tap the relay harness into the fog light fuse or something)
