Fog Light Question

Ok, I have a 2006 Cobalt LT with no Fog lights. I have the razzi front on my car and want to add headlights. I have sen some diagrams and how tos but they all say you need to hook them into the low beam on you headlights. Do you have to? Or can I go buy some universal fog lights and wire them up to 12v power and a switch? What size fog lights do I need?

Thanks

you shouldn't ahve to hook them up to the low beam... i think most fog lights allow you to switch the circuit...
you should be able to use some kind fo universals, but as far as what size the razzi kit takes.... i have not clue...

Hooking them up to the headlights will ensure that you don't accidently leave them on when you leave the car. You should however wire them in using a relay and a switch so that you can turn them on wheen you need them and off when you don't. Most fog kits come with this already and all you have to do is tap the relay triggering wire into the hedlight low beam. and the switch and other wires will be wired according to the directions. You could also wire the trigger wire to any 12V source that comes on when the car is running.

I would go with the Cobalt SS OEM fog lamps. It looks like razzi just modified the OEM SS front bumper. I wouldn't have chosen razzi personally but it's your car and I hope your happy with your new front. As far as wiring them goes, fallow the directions in your kit. You should be safe. Just don't be a dumby when driving with your fog lights on. jk

Thanks but I dont have the stock wiring for fog lights I dont think. How could I check?

The razzi front is a modified LT/LS Bumper. The razzi is actually just a big lip that fits over the bumper.

OIC... Ok... Well, Don't know what to tell you. I doubt that you have any exsisting wiring if you didn't have fog lights from the fctory. If anything, weasure your fog opening and get a fog light that fits thos demensions closly.
