Front Right Speaker Cuts In and Out

Hi! I got my Cobalt Coupe Base a few months ago, and noticed that sometimes the front right speaker goes out. It will go out for 1-3 weeks at a time, and then come back on for a few days. Sometimes when it goes out, it is just very quiet, and other times it turns off completely. I was wondering if anyone know what might be causing this, before I tear the door panel off. Thanks!

mine does this in both door speakers. poor design. i think moisture collects in the door and things corrode if i'm not mistaken.

Go to the back of the car, notice word that says "cobalt" ok. That's the problem ;-) you're welcome.

This^ ^ My base did that for about a year and was worse in cold weather. Then they just stopped all together. When I replaced them found exposed wires covered in corrosion.

Mine started doing this after a few weeks of owning the car. I never replaced them but if i hit a pothole sometimes they will come on. Its only the speakers in the doors though
