Front Speakers Don't Work

Hey everyone,
My fiancee has an 06 2 door Cobalt thats fully loaded. I was messing with the speakers the other day, and i changed the fade a little bit and noticed that the front speakers do not work. With the fade all the way to the front, no sound period. Is this a common problem at all? She works full time and has full time school, so I don't have much time to troubleshoot the car. Any thoughts?

yeah that would be my first guess. i wouldnt say bad wiring/speakers if its the entire front. i would be like 90% sure its a bad head unit or the other 10% would be try and unplug the battery and reset it to see if that fixes it

it doesnt neccassarily mean its a bad head unit. if they are the stock speakers they might just be bad speakers. mine dont work because theyre completely blown. but i hooked up a different set just to make sure and they worked. so they might just be bad

Speakers in the Doors tend to go out pretty often, Both sides, probably becasue they get a lot of Water in the door.

Yea same here my passenger one works but my driver side has its mind of its own... it plays then quit then plays then quits... and no its not the head unit for mine if anything like the above poster try find the wires and put different speakers to see if its the speaker/wire/head unit
