Fuse blowing - stock amplifier
Fuse blowing - stock amplifier
Just bought a 2007 Silver Cobalt SS (non-supercharged) yesterday. The stereo turns on but no sounds comes out. Unfortunately, the dealer said to bring it back Monday so they can fix it. So, I'm bored reading through the manual and see that the amp has its own fuse (of course). So, I go check it and it's blown (20A). I go get a replacement fuse and put it in. I immediately get feedback coming from the rear sub and the fuse blows. Any ideas?
put the stock one back in. if you changed it, and it's blown, there probably going to blame it on that. other than that, let them take care of it. it's a brand new car, not your responsibiltiy to try to fix it.
First off, they already know that no sound is coming from the stereo. So, they know they're on the hook to fix it. I was just hoping it was something easy or obvious that I could fix.
yea, i'm not too sure about the electronic side of things. i wouldn't even know where to begin to tell you to look. some of the guys here are much more experienced with that kind of thing, it's still early though, i'm sure they'll be on later.
