gauge cluster swap out

Hi there, I bought a set of gauges off of ebay that i would like to make into white face and leave my stock set alone.. My ? is, what will happen to the actual mileage of the car the new ones are 13K and my old ones are 36K... Will this work, there exactly the same from same car....

what?

is the 13 & 36k for the mileage? it wont matter that is all computer stuff man....

Yea, I was once told I couldnt change the cluster cause the mileage would be different and would not work, unless I had the vin # programmed into the cluster itself...

umm whoever told you that was entirely wrong.... the gauges are interechangable as long as they are from the same car....

no the miles will not change... i swaped mine out. Theonly thing you need to check is the year of the car it came out of if you have a 2005 the 2005/2006 guages will work. If you have a 2007 only the 2007 gauages will work..... i don't know about the 2008...

also there is a thing called a search button... this question has been answered on here more the once...

no any 06 cluster will work, and im pretty sure the 05 clusters will too.

I have on 06 cluster that i'll sell for the right price..

ususally you upgrade when you swap.. not down grade... i went from LS guages to SS/na guages
