I'm thinking about installing LED's in my footwells. I want to be able to switch between....

1. Continuous power source with no connection to dome light
and
2. Connection to dome light so when the door opens they light up




I know Ill need a 3-way switch, but I don't know where to wire #2 option to. Can I tap it off the dome light fuse or the wire, or does it have to be directly from the switch in the dome light?

I can't get ahold of the guy so I need your guys' help.

 

if you want them to turn on just when you open the door then just tap into a fuse and upgrade fuse size. fuse box is on passenger side on the side of the stereo.

 

idk if theres a fuse in the fusebox that is on and off with the dome. but if there isnt the dome light wires go down the drivers side of the car down the c pillar and to a plug on the rear deck

 

can't he just do what someone did with the door sill mod and tap into that little plunger thing that tells the dome light when to turn on?...just a thought
