you may also have a bad gmos lan 04, im an installer at a best buy and every now and then i see that happen, once you replace the module it works fine. Double check you wiring then id try that

i didnt tap into the fuse box.. i ordered the gmos lan off of ebay.. so this sounds like a pain in the ass.. ill recheck the wiring.. should the yellow go to red and the red go to yellow??

update... gmos lan is good.. wiring is good.. and everything works like it is suppose to... the problem was i wasnt actually starting my car. Once i started my car and turned it off the deck turned off also.

another note.. the alpine deck makes the crappy pioneer speakers sound a lot better and louder.. i wish there was a way to turn down the beeps when your door was open without turning down the audio in general

There should be two volume adjustments on the little black box of the module, one does audio volume and one does the beeps and onstar volume

There is a second volume ajustment for the turn signals. A set of jumpers on the other side of the dial on the Gmos.
Don't bother though, it didn't make a difference with mine. The only way to get rid of the "Chimes in concert" is to amp up the front end and loose them all together. Or add a small speaker up under you dash annd run it to the drivers side front speaker output.
Wait till your at a light and people on the otherside of the road waiting to cross can hear your turn signal, but can't figure out where the noise is coming from. You won't mind not having signals at all after that happens a few times...Trust me

Well taking out the stock deck (07 and up) does a good job at making you car shut up all together.

I rplaced mine with an alpine and just used the wiring harness off ebay and tapped the ignition wire into the fuse box. So it shut off when the car is off and comes on when the car is turned on, but I don't have the noise for the signals or any of the seatbelt/warning lights.

I tapped in the RAP fuse for mine and it works just like stock just no turn/ warning sounds. IMHO its the way to go those modules make such sounds to loud mabe they will redesign them.
