Im looking about buying a remote start/ security for my car, the system is a Viper 791XV and i was calling around to get quotes, i called circuit city and they said $180 and i called sound of tristate. they told me $200 for the intall and about $100 in "harnesses" now i was wondering is there actual harnesses i need to get it installed or are they BSin me and tryin to get extra money out of me

 

an alarm system install is all abt tapping ur stock wires. there prob BSing u

 

you may need certain harnesses to bypass the factory alarm...that's really not bad...i wouldn't let circuit city breathe on my car let alone do a half assed install of an alarm...just my opinion though

Yes you do have fatcory security, not an alram per se, but you do have security in the ignition swithc. The harness they r speaking of speaks to the car so you dont have to "tap" all those factory wires. pm me your year and model and ill get you a good price on them.
