Have an amp, need subs

Alright the other day i picked up the JBL GTO301.1 for dirt cheap compared to the retail and it was brand new so i figured why not..now i want to hook up a sub or 2 to this amp which runs at 204w @4 or 294w @2. Any suggestions? i had infinity subs previously and was pleased with them but just wondering what you guys think would suit well with the amp, obviously its not a huge amp but it should work well with suitable subs.

Id go for JL W1 10s or 12s your choice. 12's will hit lower notes because its got a bigger cone radius but yeah idk if you could get away with pushing 2 W3's...

fusions are okay..... not the greatest out there and i think overpriced....and no offense but i was a jl dealer and dropped the line ....... the w7 rock yes i give them credit but the rest of the line needed work..... no offense again. i own my own shop there are many many good subs out there they are nowadays so close in performance its not hard to find good ones... some of my fav's are :

image dynamics...best choice for small power the idq line port em tune em to like 38hz 12" at 1.5cuft and they will rock you world..... very inexpensive also....
sounsplinter
dayton
audioque
the new rockfords are freaking awsome...

i compete in iasca used to in usac. now i compete in sq used to in db drag.... worked with some of the best in the bus.... some of the record holders. with 300 watts @ 2 ohms... the right 12" sub and the right box( makes all the world of difference way more than the right sub) you can easily be doing mid 140's clean..... let me know if i can help......

The 12's will hit about 2-3Hz lower if you ever send that low of a signal to them...i'd go with 10's to save space and weight

Hmm thats strange iv heard nothing but complaints from people who actualyl have W7's (tons of posers claim to have them but really dont). The W7 have an aweful popping sound after the end of every bass hit. So i have to disagree by saying JL's line is amazing except for the W7's. We have a Navigator who dropped $25,000 and bought 3 12''W6's and its incredible sounding. Also my manager has 4 12'' W3's in his tahoe and they hit harder than anything youv ever heard. He wins evwery contest he enters hitting 156.4DB.

What do u guys think about the Alpine Type R's - there not w7's obviously but i am looking to be somewhat cost effective, adn theres no way my amp can power w7's, The SWR-1242D seems to be half deccent but i have no experience with this sub, any comments? Ive also been lookin at Perfect 10.1's, ive had good experience with infinity before with the kappa's (u can tell by now i dont have a boat load of money) lol

iv got 2-10 inch poweracoustic, i think 1200, or 1600 each. I never ran them yet cause no amp ever. got the box but never heard what they sound like. brand new from best buy 2 years ago for 160 a piece. give ya a hell of a deal on them if you want.
