Headlights Dim While Turning the Wheel

So as I pulled into my parking spot, I turned the wheel so it was perfectly straight (for whatever reason, I don't know).

But as I turned the wheel, my headlights dimmed a little. So I kept turning it back and forth and every time, they dimmed.

Any ideas? My battery seems fine, there's absolutely no lag when turning the car on.

Power steering is electric. It takes a lot of power.

Same with your windows and rear defroster.

Oh no, I know it's power steering, I just didn't know if this was abnormal and I should get my alternator looked at.

hmmm and you say no lag on start-up? easiest thing to check would be the alternator to see if it's putting out what it should

I would guess alt just from what others said. I might also ask if the same thing happens while driving.

I guess I should just take it over to Advanced Auto... I don't have a voltmeter, unless there is another way to check

I'm using Halogens in my projectors, but they dim a lot more than what they did in that video.

Yeah a power supply issue, power steering is draining all of your power. Should pretty much only be when not moving or barely moving though right?

yah you can go get your Alt. checked at a parts store. if it comes back fine, i wouldnt worry too much. the colder it is the more you may notice it, but if they test out, dont just replace them, youd be wasting money

Yeah, I mean I've never noticed it while I'm driving, so it's probably just lack of not being on the gas pedal
