Hooked to a Boston Acoustics GT-24 for about 2 years until it died the other day. The thing is I don't really need anything as powerful as the GT-24 any longer (I'm going deaf).

I'm thinking something like a R5000-1. Any other ideas? I'm not exactly the best when it comes to matching subs to amps.

 

That sub can handle above 1000w rms. I wouldnt recommend the p500.1 it only puts out about 350w rms at 4ohm's. Look into a more powerful amp like a higher-end RF or kicker, alpine, soundstream, jbl... just to name a few


Or you could look at doing a two channel that does around 350w-500w rms at 2ohm on each channel.
