stock stereo?
stock stereo?
i installed a sony xplod stereo because somebody gave it to me for free just because they enjoy installing car stereo equipment. im wondering if i reinstalled the stock stereo, could my amp be hooked up to it since there are no rca plugins on the back. im pretty sure this is possible but im also wondering what the sound would be like. i was told sony stereos are very bad when it comes to sound quality. would my stock stereo give better quality? and is it true that the stock stereo wouldnt be as loud? a lot of questions i know, but im new at this and i just want whats best. nothing looks better than the stock head unit so if sound quality will be equal or better im making the switch back.
Yea you can put your factory back in but you will have to put in some loc's (line output converter) to plug your amp rca's into.
Yes new sony stuff isnt the best sq but it will be better than your factory radio, just need to tune it right. as far as it being louder thats also in the tuning.
Just get a nicer radio thats still cheap like a pioneer or jvc that has better sq for around $150 is what id say.

but you think the sound quality from the sony stereo is better than stock?
Yes any aftermarket radio be it the cheap one or not will have better sound quality than your factory radio. Aftermarket radios out put more rms power to the speakers and have better tuning for sq. The list goes on.
But hell if you wanna give it a shot go ahead, then look into getting a signal processor like the rockford fosgate 360.2
