Help With Sub
So I purchased a stock Pioneer sub and enclosure for our cars from someone.
I want to eventually wire it up.
I know I'll need an amp, but what kind of amp, how much wattage, etc. would I need for the stock 10" shallow pioneer sub?
I am eventually going to upgrade the stock head unit to a 7" touchscreen, but that probably wont be for a while.
If I got say a 500 or 600 watt Amp now to power my Sub, could I keep it and use it to power everything else once I upgrade my head unit?
Thanks for any help

for the stock sub its a D2 so id get a 2 channel. and no you cant use the same amp to power speakers and the sub unless it has the channels to do so (such as 5 or 6 channel or possibly 4 or 3)
How's this one, just to power the stock sub?
I honestly don't even know what to look for in an Amp.

For the record I blew up a stock sub trying to do what you are. I powered it with a Rockford Fosgate amp rated for 175 RMS, Dual channel, Each sub coil had its own amp output. Blew it up within a month.
$200 is pretty high for my price range. I was thinking around $100
But now I at least know what you mean. at max 250 watt at 2 ohms, with 2 channels
