Metra/PAC problems

07 Cobalt SS W/ OnStar & Pioneer

So Ive had my new Alpine IVE-W535HD installed for about a week now, and finally got the steering wheel adapter and the PAC Tr-7 to bypass the parking brake.

But of course, a million and five problems...

First off we'll start with the Steering Wheel Control (Axxess ASWC)
From what Ive done to follow the simple directions, everything is installed properly. When I go to program it, it seems to work fine, till i hold the volume up button to program it, soon as i hold it down, my OnStar ***** comes on, it finishes its programming and the light stays solid. Controls do not work. Mind you this is tied into the GMOS Lan-04. Ive tried multiple times resetting it and starting over and the same thing keeps happening..

My second problem is the PAC Tr-7 bypass module, made to bypass the parking brake on the Double Dins, again, I follow the simple instructions, program says it was succesfull. Hooked up all wires according to what they ask. And still will not bypass it, not even with the vehicle in park. The light does not stay on after this, so im not sure if its meant to be on or off to signify if its working properly.

Any advice at all would be awesome, my brains wracked with this and Id really hate to scratch up a point for an audio dealer to install it.

Thanks guys

I had the same problem with the Axxess. I think I somehow got it to automatically learn the car.

I know I would try to program it manually and the dang onstar would come on if the volume button was held on for to long.

Get rid of the PAC and get an automatic bypass on eBay.
How did you hook up the ASWC?

Yeah, but spend the extra money and just get an automatic one. Don't have to think about flipping a switch back and forth.
