Hid Issue

Hid Issue

My buddy bought some 9007 HIDs for his equinox >> i installed them they were plug and play soo easy stuff.. Isssue im having is one of the HIDS are less bright then the other/ IT will flicker till it goes out and wont go back on till you turn off n on the car. Any ideas what the issue is. Does he need the hid relay?

Sounds like he bought a pair of shitty ebay brand HID's....

Its from a vendor here on this forum lol im not going to slander but hey if you say shitty i totally agree lol... Okay so relay may solve it? I was thinking ballast?.

try a relay first. I had the same issue on my first set of hids, got a relay, and have never had this problem since.

Mistaking me if im wrong but do i need two relays .. 1 per hid+Ballast combo?

nope, 1 relay has connections to both ballasts.

sweet thanks guys but hey if the relay dont help my buddy then automatically its a ballast issue right..?

it could still be the bulb. If they relay doesn't work, swap the ballasts from left to right side. if it follows a ballast, it's a ballast. If that doesn't work, swap the bulbs from left to right side to see if it follows the bulb.
