HID problems?
HID problems?
I heard some people who get HIDs up to 12000k, or 30000k HIDs actually melt the housings... i am looking to get 6000k on a 08 cobalt ss. can i just buy the bulbs, ballasts, and will i be good to go? or will i have some problems ? i dont want to melt the wires also, because they will be putting out more wattage.
i am looking to get a different headlight assembly. Do you think the housing will be strong enough quality to be able to hold 6000k hid bulbs?

the lenses on these projectors off ebay get heat stress cracks on the lens from the halogen bulb that comes in them. People on here have them with HIDs and they work fine because they produce less heat. but others have also had the lens cover get stress cracks even with HID's.
