Cool, thanks for the info. AFAIK, the housing are all (or mostly) plastic on the G8.

Morimotos are OEMish where ours are aftermarket. I would recommend Morimotos to anyone but most people don't want to spend that much.

At least not aftermarket. My OEM ones in my car were 6 years old and going strong. Ballasts still work fine but the bulbs were getting really dim. Good HIDs last a long time, but you don't want to keep using them for that long. Bulbs should be replaced every 2 years or so, they lose brightness over time.

i purchased a H11 HID kit from TRS. is there anything i need to do to the fog light? or can i just unplug the stick light bulb and put the new HID one in??

i called TRS yesterday and my order was flagged because my billing address was different then the shipping address (im having them delivered to my work cause someone is always there) the guy i talked to (andrew) said they should be delivered by the end of the week but the money has been posted on my bank account but i havent received a email or anything from them with shipping info or anything. should i call and ask them on a order number or should i just wait it out and see if they get delivered on thursday or friday?

unplug old one and stick the new one in, that's all you need to do. I would wait to see if you get them on friday, then call after that. They're usually pretty honest with their customers, might have just been a mix up that you didn't get an email

******* great. TRS didn't put down the correct address to my work and never sent me an email with the tracking number for my HID's. So now yesterday the lights were out for delivery and couldn't be delivered due to the wrong address. Now the HID's are on their way back to TRS. Wtf. Great.

TRS has the correct address so I guess the mailman didn't wear his glasses that day and can't read.

dont forget though, my bike isnt driven every day, and sits parked for 4-5 months out of the year, unlike my car which is daily driven. the units themselves have the age on them, not the useage though. make sense?

It all depends on what you get, the ones I have 9007 HID kit Hi/low beam has a relay harness, it's not difficult to install and just delays when you turn your headlights on.

Ridiculous is all the people bitching about HIDs being too bright!!!!

I have 6000ks and been bitched at 3 times and only had them installed for a week.

Also yes I adjusted them and they dont ever shine higher that the center of the trunk on low cars, the bumper on trucks so WTF
