how is the factory sub wired?

talking about the pioneer 7 speaker setup

like the title says, how is the sub wired? does the car basically have a 5 channel amp? with the sub running off one of the channels? or is there a seperate amp for the sub? or is the sub somehow connected in series with the 6x9's?

is there a way to simply adjust the level/gain on the sub without having the bass for the whole system be increased as well?

would it be possible to tap into the sub line before it hits the stock amp and therefore get a clean unamped signal and not have to use an LLC if installing an aftermarket sub/amp?

sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out if i need a new sub or if i can make the stock one hit harder.

thanks in advance
