How would keeping the 7 speaker system and just adding amps work?

I was thinking....how would leaving the stock head unit, pioneer tweeters and front speakers and just adding a NEW amplifier with more wattage to each speaker for better high, lows, gains, etc.

Is this possible AT ALL? Its be a cheaper option then replacing everything.

I put in a single 5 channel amp and all new speakers, kept the stock headunit for now. I had to run new lines everywhere. It is a pain in the ass, if you just want some better sound, change the head unit. if you want great sound, pull it all and start from scratch...

Change everything out and get a 4 channel amp. A lot easier and if you like music as loud as I do, then you'll blow the factorys with another amp. It's not worth it.
