I have a question..

This may sound completely stupid, but I was wondering if the cd player from an 07 and up model cobalt would hook up and work fine in an 05?
Basically, all Im after is the aux port, without drilling into my dash and re-wiring.

Don't quote me on this, but I think it was due to the GM data buses being different after 2007.

TBH, you'd be better off with an aftermarket unit anyways. Much better quality.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-add-aux-input-pre-07-cobalts-184854/ check this out, i did it and its sooo simple, just follow the directions to the t, and look for a aux port with an end tht screws off, so u can drill a small hole, and screw the end back on so it looks factiry, i got mine stickin out of the back of my cup holder,i didn drill, i just ran it thru the center console
