Ignition Question

Hey everyone, I installed my deck about 2 years ago, and just fused tapped to the wiper for the ignition wire on my deck. (I tried the giant red wire from the factory harness, to no avail, and was suggested this method way back when)

Anyways, as the wipers come on when the key is fully turned, also comes on the deck. (currently)

I want it so that the deck comes on with you turn the key over 1 click (accessory fuse tap needed or something I believe)

I have an 05 base balt. No pwr windows or locks or any of that stuff... I tried tapping every fuse on the inside fuse block, and they all either ran the deck constantly with no key, or they would turn it on, when the key was fully turned.

the new crew likes to goto the drive-in and I dont like having my key turned on all the way, with the AC and lights/fuel pump/basically everything else running as draining my battery.

I was wondering if there is a wire on the stock harness I am missing that will fix me up so it turns on like the stock deck with the key in the accessory position, or if there is something else I can rig up for this to work the way I want it.

Any info would be great, Thanks!

I tried every wire on the stereo harness coming from the car, no power during ACC. The yellow and red wires provide power 24-7 key in or out.

I dont know what else to try. When I turn the key the 1 click, nothing at all in the car lights up or seems to have any power. Is that normal? Should there be a light on the dash at all?

I think I found a wire that works!

There is 2 small brown wires that go together into that red plastic cluster (shows RAP on diagram)

I tried all the wires there, and it was either no-go, or constant power. Then these two brown wires seem to do the trick.

Lets just hope when I wake up tomorrow my car isnt burnt to the ground!
