Installing aftermarket Viper alarm help

I have a quick question for those of you who have already installed a Viper alarm, or similar alarm on the 06' SS/SC cobalt. I just need to know if I need any Viper module in order to lock/unlock the car from the viper remote as well as using the OEM trunk release from this remote. I will be installing 5900 SST alarm. This is the module I am referring to on Viper's website.

if you got electric door locks, yes the remote will open and lock your doors and yes you can have the trunk open with the remote

Ok, so I don't need to purchase anything other than the alarm system. That seperate module is not necessary?

Alright, I called a Viper rep and he informed me that the keyless entry portion of the alarm will work right out of the box, but the trunk release and remote start features require additional components.

Now all I need it the wiring diagram with color codes for our vehicle. Any help is appreciated.

Noobish question here... but do the remote starters just trick the car into thinking the clutch is pushed in or is there a servo or something that actually actuates the clutch pedal for starting the car?

The clutch basically just has a switch hooked up to it so the car knows when the clutch is pushed in; so, a remote start unit just closes the switch so the car can be started without the clutch pushed in.

Do you guys have any questions about the install? I've recently upgraded Viper alarms so everything is fresh in my mind. It's almost second nature now.

I'd be shocked if your car fires right up without making any changes to the clutch wire harness. Logically, the car can't start without the clutch wires completing the circuit. How did you do it?

very odd. Even when I blew the fuse for the clutch harness, the RS wouldn't start.
