I have an alpine cda-9883 head unit. When I connect my Ipod to it it will read all the information from my ipod but there is no sound. Through the head unit is the only way to access the ipod info and its all there and it will show that a song is playing but no sound. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

 

I have the exact same setup and have had no issues...

I'm assuming you have the KCE-422i cable and not the Aux input cable.

I'd check my connections, then if that doesn't work, call Alpine and see if they have any suggestions.

Also, what generation of iPod do you have?

 

just fixed the problem! I had the same problem as mkulrey I had to splice the remote and power antenna wires together from the head unit and connect both to the solid blue from the metra connection.
