Ipod cable issue :(

Hey guys. Let me start first by saying I love having the capability of using my ipod in my SS. I've never had a car that could do that haha. Anyways. I've been having a few problems with my cable. Its the original cable that car with the car. Every time I plug the cable into the car and the ipod, i hear a ton of static. And most of the time, the music only plays out of one side of the car or the other. If i wiggle the cable to move it around, SOMETIMES it will play right. I know its not the ipod, because I've had the same problem with my Droid (but in the phone's case, I get the static, half-assed playback, but also a clicking sound in the music). Could it be the ipod port? Or the cable? Anything I can do here? Thanks guys for your help.

Haha three identical replies. That was quick. Thanks guys. Call me crazy, but I'm the "do research before dropping money" kind of guy haha. Thats why I posted this. I'll check it out.

Also, the port where the cable goes into the dash is kinda flimsy... I know our cars are the high quality type haha. Anyone else had this issue?

I understand, but sometimes with the people on here it's better to try your options out first.
