Big difference when you use a cable for the ipod the music is much clear and louder than an fm transmitter

07 LS model has capability of having the IPOD jack, but does not come with it stock, typically.

i bought the harmon-kardon drive+play - lets you put an fm modulator hard-wired in. its a medium-difficulty install, but well worth it. it works with the zune too now i think. but, it lets you charge the ipod and control it using a remotely located controller.

You should look into an inline FM modulator.. It hooks to your antenna, so you shouldn’t have the interference issues that the wireless one do. I loved mine when i had it in my LS
