Keyless Entry

I did do a search but I didnt find anythign related to me. I bought my car used (2009 Cobalt SS coupe) and it only came with one key and no key fob. I already bought some keys off ebay and had them cut/programmed. Cost less then 12$ for each key :P

My question is since I have powered windows/locks can I buy a remote off ebay and have it programmed for my car or do I have to buy a security system?

09 SS = turbo. I've never heard of one of the boosted SS's NOT having remote entry. Run the VIN or check the RPO codes in the trunk.

Yeah, both of mine crapped out, they told me $150 to replace and reprogram both. What sucks is a lot of GM cars have a reprogramming mode you can do yourself. Cobalts are not one of those cars.
