kinetic hc800

Can the kinetic hc800 be used as a replacement battery, or is it strictly a power cell for audio equipment?

So I'm probably better off picking up another stock battery and worrying the kinetic to that how the manual says then?

Wiring, not worrying. Stupid Swype. The manual shows to wire the hc800 to your battery and then power your amp from that i believe. I looked at it quick last night and now i can't remember exactly what it showed

Look into XS bats too... They may have a higher current one that'll fit for a starter. Lots of sales on too.

I think I'm going to get the kinetic hc1400 to replace my starter battery. If i wire both the 1400 and 800 parallel what size inline fuse should i use between them?

went to work... if u put the batteries like side by side then dont even worry about a fuse. its also "best" to keep the same size/type battery when using multiples.

do u already have the 800? and what system if any do u have (or additional electronics)

I already have the 800, as of right now I'm only running a 600 watt amp and sub, pioneer 4100 head unit, and the rest stock. I do plan on upgrading the rest if the speakers in the near future though. Just not sure exactly what I'll be getting

ok that makes sense then ya i def wouldnt use only the 800 and mixing agm and lead acid (liek stock) batterys is bad too. so u should be ok with the 1400 and 800 combo

when wiring the batteries id suggest hooking the amp power wire to the 1400 and then hooking the stock alt bcm ect power wire to the 800

What's the reasoning behind doing it that way exactly?

the only "issue" with using a small batt and a bigger batt together is the small batt drains faster and ur only as good as ur weakest link. if the small batt stays drained and develops a memory then it is not only ruined but holds the whole setup down. so if u put the charging wire on the smaller battery and the amp power on the bigger one the current has to go from the 800 to the 1400 then to the amp. so less likely to mess up the 800 by not keeping it charged
