Very interesting. I would guess that because of the price, and the option to send your stock alt to them for a lower price, that it's a rewind. I'd be worried about it burning out faster than an actual HO alt. Of course, I'm not very knowledgeable on the topic, so I could be way out in left field.
Either way it's something that I'd be down for. Damn dimming headlights!
