Wrong plug on deck. That set is for the amp.

You have to connect the MP3 player to the "AUX IN" on your deck, provided that your deck supports this.

Aren't those amp plugs output, not input? If thats right then you shouldnt be able to hear it at all, not barely.

I did this on my first install when I was 15 with a discman on a cassette deck( yes it's been like ten years) but yes the rear speakers played the cds sounds very quietly while the radio played on the front speakers. It does happen and if those are the only connections, then you will need an fm transmitter.

Crank up the volume on the MP3 player as loud as it will go... Its still using the headphone output for its signal. I do this with my iPod and Kenwood X-789 all the time, and you have to have the iPod cranked to its highest level because the volume control on the MP3 is also going to affect the volume of the stereo.

This is of course if you deck has an AUX-In and thats what you have it plugged into...

Show pics of the back of your deck and check next to the connectors in the deck to see if they say aux or amp or something else

Has anyone seen if there is a second input on our amps? you might be able to run it through the stock amp if there are. Or you could buy 2 connectors with 1 male rca and 2 females and run the deck and the mp3 player straight to the amp.

I have heard that we don't unfortunatly. Next best thing would be an FM transmitter.

Which suck, I got one for my iPod and took it back. I prefer to just burn a few cds and wait till I have enough for the new Pioneer Z1 and do a direct connect.

Make dual inputs into the amp stop screwing with the deck and just run all straight to the amp.
