My front speaker hates the cold

The front speaker in my 2007 LS has a mind of its own. When its cold outside my front driver side speaker doesn't work. It doesn't even have to be that cold, just slightly cool. I live in Sacramento which has been very hot lately and in the morning, no speaker, in the afternoon once it gets hotter, I have a speaker. During the winter months, no speaker at all.

The biggest issue with this is the turn signal noise comes from this speaker and I've been known to drive a couple blocks with it on before noticing.

I'm not sure what is causing it, but don't believe the speaker is the problem as sometimes it works. It worked fine when I first bought it in April 07. At least for the first year or two. Now its just temperamental with the weather.

I'm thinking wiring, but before I tear the door panel off and look at it, I am curious if anyone has an idea what else I should be looking for.
