need help with 4 channel amp
need help with 4 channel amp
Does anyone know how to wire a 4 channel amp, (from the amp to the speakers) I've done my sub so I have the basic idea Im just not quite sure how your suppose to wire in regular speakers. And the amp is a punch 400 and the speakers are mb quart discus 6x9 and components with a alpine cda-9856 HU.
well you know how to make the amp work. then just run speaker wires like you normally would to the speakers, its no diffrent then to a sub
just make sure you wire to the correct ohm which will be 4 ohm, meaning no bridging...and since you have a channel for each speaker, it will be 4 ohm, so your in luck..just run a positive and neg to each speaker
couldnt ask for an easier instillation

see thats what i figured but the dude at the speaker store was telling me something about a 1 into 4 wire that you run to the HU instead of the speakers. I think I'll just do it your way like i planned to.
Just like a sub.
Terminal looks like this...
__1____2_____3____4__
//+//- //+ //- //+//-//+//-
____(A)_________(B)____
Plug your RCAs in for signal but take note which is which. What I mean by that is that your deck hopefully has an output for the front's and the rears. The Amp should have an input A and an Input B. Make A the fronts, and B the rears, the wire the Positives and negatives accordingly.
