need help with 4 channel amp

need help with 4 channel amp

Does anyone know how to wire a 4 channel amp, (from the amp to the speakers) I've done my sub so I have the basic idea Im just not quite sure how your suppose to wire in regular speakers. And the amp is a punch 400 and the speakers are mb quart discus 6x9 and components with a alpine cda-9856 HU.

well you know how to make the amp work. then just run speaker wires like you normally would to the speakers, its no diffrent then to a sub

just make sure you wire to the correct ohm which will be 4 ohm, meaning no bridging...and since you have a channel for each speaker, it will be 4 ohm, so your in luck..just run a positive and neg to each speaker

couldnt ask for an easier instillation

see thats what i figured but the dude at the speaker store was telling me something about a 1 into 4 wire that you run to the HU instead of the speakers. I think I'll just do it your way like i planned to.

Just like a sub.

Terminal looks like this...

__1____2_____3____4__

//+//- //+ //- //+//-//+//-

____(A)_________(B)____

Plug your RCAs in for signal but take note which is which. What I mean by that is that your deck hopefully has an output for the front's and the rears. The Amp should have an input A and an Input B. Make A the fronts, and B the rears, the wire the Positives and negatives accordingly.

cool, thanks. i already ran everything but the speaker wires rca's and power are done and the amps not even here yet

anyone know what size capacitor i should go with, i got the 400 4 amp going in and a jl 500/1 for the subs and my lights already dim with just the one amp hooked up.
