it looks like the heat sink on that sony is just on the top so depending on how its actually set up to dissapate heat it might not matter if its upside down if it doesnt get too hot on your trip to florida i wouldnt worry about it... only reason im actually concerned is because of the age of the amp (not sure if older amps have different heat sinks ect ect)
