I'm guessing by front doesn't light up you mean the entire unit isn't on....If the only thing that works is the CD player taking discs in and ejecting discs, then it means that you have 12 volt constant, but you do not have a proper ignition source.....pull the radio out and find the red wire coming out of the back of the kenwood.....disconnect that red wire from the harness if you've connected it there....once you do that, pull off the passenger kick panel (the piece that covers your fusebox and has the vent for the floor ac) and tie that wire into the thick gauge pink wire. Good luck.

well the wiring harness was the problem. turns out that i needed a 120 dollar connection. just wondering now if it is possible to disconnect the stock blinker noise and noise for when the door is open or the key is in the ignition?

You should have waited and asked here before You DO NOT need that expensive harness! They want to sell you this thing just to get more money, but it is not necessary :S Maybe you just did not wire it correctly!

He lied....you have an 06, same as mine, which does not require a PAC module unless you want to retain your onstar. If you listened to my post earlier, you probably would have saved 120 bucks :/

I spent $80 on the Scoche kit from wal-mart and it had everything I needed to get it working accept for the antenna adapter.
