So I installed the Appradio 2 last night... it sounded Great... then FAIL...

You guys think this is firmware, or is it busted... I really dont wanna send it back...







it does it randomly, once it warms up it really doesnt do it...

I do like it so far tho

P2 should be here tomorrow, Imma be mad if i have to mail it back...

 

I would call Pioneer and ask them if its a common issue. How was the install? Does it work well with Android?

 

Check if there is a firmware upgrade. Otherwise it could be getting too hot back there for it, or it's busted.

 

Well if you, use ARLiberator it work amazing with Android, the whole reason i got it. it mirrors your phone completely pretty badass.

Im going to the the firmware update tonight.. I contacted pioneer and i may have to mail it back so they can send me a new unit.

 

Just looked up ARLib.. pretty damn bad ass. I kinda wanna upgrade to the AR2. I have a P4300DVD right now.
I know there isn't a CD slot on the AR2, but is there an SD card slot?

 

no cd slot, no sd slot.. at least i havent found it...

 

Do you need to root your phone in order to use ARLiberator? I have a Samsung Galaxy S Blaze with Ice Cream Sandwich. I just want a 7" double-DIN that I can plug my phone into and not have any hassles.

Yea you have to root your phone to use it, Im using a root with stock settings.


Damn it.. Guess i'll suck it up and send it back.

 

What wiring harness did you use to retain the steering wheel controls? I'm looking at two different PAC models that are for Pioneer decks but nothing that says its compatible with AR2.

 

I used the PAC SW i think, it was a pain in the ass to program thats for sure

 

That sucks that your having issues. Mass produced products do have the odd lemon.

It's too bad the AppRadio doesn't have XM capability. I would love to have one, but there is no way I'm using data to run the XM iOS app.

i have that radio + arliberator is for the win! did you cut the brace in the back? i know the fan that ebhind the radio kinda hits that area. (i ended up just shaving that brace off).

 

yup i shaved it off...i sent the radio back yesterday.. hopefully the replacement will be here tomorrow

 

idk where your at, but i had a blast installing mine and wouldnt mind helping you with yours. on ours fyi, the brake bypass cant be relayed, it has to be to a 12v on off switch. otherwise, youll only be able to watch vids while your drifting lol.
