No sound.

When I wired my Kenwood last time everything worked but no sound came out. So a friend who does installs wired 3 of them together and it worked great. What is this wire combination? Like just give me colors. lol. Because I can't remember. I've since sold the radio, but am getting another one. Alpine 9883. It was like some sort of factory amp bypass or something I remember. I'm not sure at all. I'm throwing this in in a few days and want to know what's up. Help!!

Also, I bought an XM Xpress unit the other day. Works great. But it sounds like there's a part you can plug into an aftermarket hu into the a/v inputs so it's hardwired into it. Is this true?

if the xm is like the sirus and im sure it is theres a piece that gets hardwired into the antenna (purchased seperatly)

do you still have the factory amp? and do you have an aftermarket amp? If the factory amp is bypassed then it should be straight foward

It's the factory amp. It came factory with all the Pioneer stuff. I'm just asking what 3 wires do you do together to bypass it? Because I hooked everything straight up last time (blue to blue, yellow to yellow, etc) and it powered on and everything, but there was no sound. Any ideas?

to bypass the amp you must do quite a bit of rewiring.

Yeah basically the speaker wires are ran from the amp outputs to the speakers. If your trying to bypass the amp with the new deck, the output is being sent to ... nothing = no sound.

[Radio]-----[amp]--- ( )( )( )( ) Speakers

Yeah, I actually got this awhile ago. I just wired everything like normal, then, as someone previously said, the blue+blue/whites go together. Voila.
