One Sub wont work

I have two HiFonics subs and they were working great. I threw them in a temp box until I could get mine made. They seemed heavy enough that I wouldn't have to secure them down but I checked my trunk one day and they were both face down. I realized one of the subs was not working and I checked the wiring and realized that it was loose so I plugged it back in and everything was fine. The next day I get in my car and I realize that I don't have alot of bass so I check my subs again and the other sub is now not working. I check all my connections to make sure that there was no loose connections or anything and still it failed to work. I then bought some new wire and rewired the whole set up and still it failed to work. The other one works great so I switched the wires just to make sure I didn't rewire it incorrectly. Still nothing.

The only thing I have yet to do is take each sub out of their respective boxes and place them in the other's box to see if it is a lose connection in my box.

Does that sound like a plausible problem or is it a blown sub or something like that?

If I remember correctly I had them wired in parallel at 1 OHM.

I think you answered your own question, either the wires inside the box are loose (try hooking a multi meter up to the connection on the back of the box) or you fucked you subs from letting them play while face down. Subs are not really built to deal with resistance while there in motion.

Alright Thanks. That is what I was figuring. I just didn't want to order another one and have it being some really simple solution. I bought a Multi-Meter the other day to test it so I will try that when I get a chance.

The box was fairly heavy and I thought I had it wedged in there fairly well. Its was just a temp thing so I could get my amp tuned right and the sub broken in. My amp is rated at twice what the subs were and I was just testing the gain and getting them broken in and such. I didn't want to screw it in to only have it in there for a week or so. In hindsight it may not have been the greatest idea but its not a big loss otherwise. It was just a $35 sub.
