sound deading?
whats an alternative to use for sound deadnig my trunk instead of using dynomat? kinda tight on money at the momeny

I put a bought 12 tiles, i think it was $30 for them, and that did the trunk and the rear deck. Put most on the part of the trunk lid that actually hangs down, the part between tail lights, and some on the top part of trunk lid. I also shoved some towels (yeah yeah ghetto mat...but it works) between the trunk lid and the trunk supports, so i dont get that metal on metal sound. Work very well for me and pretty cheap too.

A guy at a hardware store I went to to buy my fiberglass and MDF said that some type of tile they sold had very good sound deadening properties and it was fairly cheap if I remember correctly. I cannot remember what it is called though. I didn't need it at the time so I didn't pick it up he just suggested it after he found out I was building a box. He said people use it for sound proofing band rooms and stuff. His son tried it with his box and he said it worked very well but take that for what its worth.
