Did anyone install an overhead DVD player?

How did you attach it? Did you need to remove the ceiling light fixture in order to install the player?

 

thats just a screen not a dvd player.... you would have to remove the dome light and probably most of the headliner as well

 

yep, that should block your rearview mirror nicely...

 

then by a rearview mirror screen and a back up cam. beat that reign SS

Was jsut wandering if the headliner would support the weight. I took a look at the installation video on Crutchfield's web site and they jsut slide a metal plate under the headliner and attach the player to it. Not bolted to the roof itself.

 

^^^ sounds WAY too easy...

 

That's why i would ike to see if other people tried it first.

 

are we talking between the headliner and the roof panel or what? I mean the headliner is really just foam with material on it isn't it?

 

right.... thats pretty much the goal. Ive only done it once thou.
