Parking brake switch

Anyone know where this is located? Want to finish hooking up my avic f700bt and this is the only wire I can't figure out. I checked the carpt and took off panels near the parking brake but there is no green wire here. Just a black one...so im confused on where it is or where I should look for it.

What year is your car? Its the only wire that attaches to your parking break. On my car its a light blue wire at the parking break but I have a 05'. Why dont you just bypass the f700?

Oh ok, mines black then. Its an 06 ss/sc. I read its suppose to be green, but maybe mine was changed before I bought it then, so I just wanted to make sure.

I tried, but you can't access any of the system settings unless its hooked to the parking brake, so I can't bypass it without getting into the system settings.

ok i know how to bypass it.
on your RCA harness you have the mute wire (yellow/black) its on the last pin out on the harness.

pull it out and move it down one and over 4 spots to the open spot inbetween the two black wires that turn into the rca's. glue it in (I use super glue jsut a small dab).

then ground out the mute wire (yellow/black) ground (black) and parking break (light green)

DONE that will bypass it just fine. I'll post a pic for you when im off work

Ok here it is...

The top pic with the red circle is the original pin out of the mute wire (yellow/black)

the bottom pic with the red circle is where it needs to end up.

hmm when you say not work 100% what do you mean? you should have had long enough wires on the switch to wire it directly with the radio/harness ground
